The California Rice Commission represents the 2,500 rice growers and handlers who farm and process rice produced in California by engaging in a range of comprehensive regulatory, research and education programs.
Established to meet the industry's need to speak with one voice, the CRC provides the state's growers and handlers balanced representative powers regarding issues that affect their industry. Through this process, growers and handlers share equal responsibility for setting policy and sharing the costs of implementation. Working together strengthens the industry's opportunities within today's business and regulatory environment.
The CRC membership has a voice in educating decision makers about the California rice industry, managing such wide-ranging fields as market development, maintenance and expansion, research, education, advertising and promotion.
