Ingredients
- 2 cups Calrose rice
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 1 cup sweet sliced onion
- 2 tablespoons avocado oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 pound thinly sliced wagyu beef
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- ½ cup sliced green onion
- ½ cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 egg yolk (optional)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
Directions
- Add the rice and water to rice cooker.
- Rinse and strain excess starchy water.
- Add chicken broth to rice and cook according to your rice cooker settings.
- Fluff rice with a spoon when rice is fully cooked.
- Add the avocado oil, onions, garlic, and wagyu beef to a hot pan.
- Cook on medium heat for 7 minutes or until onions are caramelized and beef is fully cooked.
- Turn heat off and add oyster sauce, sesame oil, and soy sauce.
- Mix well and set aside.
- Fill the bowl halfway with hot rice.
- Add caramelized beef and onions and top with a generous amount of cilantro and green onions.
- Lastly, top rice bowl with a raw egg yolk and sesame seed for garnish (optional).
